Our April Meeting Projects

For our kits this month, each of us provided a piece of the kit, (some of them even handmade), so there was lots of yummy product to work with....

• Melanie provided the handmade fabric fowers
• April provided some papers and some other goodies (a tag & handmade paper mache flower)
• Bonnie provided the buttons, some white mesh, and handmade felt buttons
• Jane provided a handmade leaf with the fabric button, cute little mushrooms, brown velvet leaf, and hand dyed brown fabric strips
• Carrie provided a handmade fabric/ribbon/paper/butterfly banner and the pink thickers

March Make & Take

And here is my original.....

We missed Bonnie (she was a bit under the weather), but still enjoyed a morning of making these fun additions to our art journals! 

I had been talking to April about a page like this for our Creators' Circle art journals, and finally had a chance to put one together (she helped me come up with the idea).  

For our March make and take, I sewed some pretty fabric envelopes in three different fabrics.  We attached the envelopes to a page in our art journals with ribbon, and decorated the outside with something to tuck the flap of the envelope under.  Then, we typed lyrics to our current favorite song on a piece of paper.  The idea is that your favorite song changes throughout the year, and when you look at this page, you remember that time in your life.  

For the titles of our songs, we made little banners that were sewn onto our lyric sheet.  Everyone made something different, and I love them all!!!
